7 Awesome Fall RV Camping Destinations and Activities
Fall is a fantastic time for RV adventures. Temperatures may be dropping, but so are the bugs and crowds!
1 — Drive the Cabot Trail in Nova Scotia
One of the world’s most beautiful drives, and in autumn the whole thing turns colour.
2 — View the larches in Banff
Banff’s yellow larches are the main event every fall. Tunnel Mountain Village II campground is open year-round.
3 — Go apple picking
Stop at the orchards along your route. Stuffed and roasted over the fire is our preferred campsite preparation.
4 — Birdwatch during the fall migration
The Observatoire d’Oiseaux de Tadoussac in Quebec is superb for raptors, boreal owls and everything else on the move.
5 — Enjoy the fall foliage in Ontario
Algonquin Provincial Park for hiking, biking and birdwatching. Mew Lake Campground has over 100 campsites and is open year-round.
6 — Cook over the campfire
Cool weather and campfire cooking belong together — chili, and anything wrapped in foil, cooked slowly.
7 — Enjoy fall crafts
Leaf rubbings: paper, crayons or pastels, and whatever you pick up on the walk.
